40,000+ wallpapers, ready to run

The Ultimate
Wallpaper App

Let your screen tell stories. DynamicWalls plays live wallpapers on your real desktop — behind your windows, not on a screensaver — and stops the second you unplug.

Inside the app

Browse, preview,
set. That's it.

Everything lives in one window. Hover a wallpaper to watch it move, click once to put it on the desktop.

  • Preview in place. The card plays the real loop, so what you see is what lands on your desktop.
  • Library that's yours. Favourite anything, and drag in your own MP4s and MOVs alongside ours.
  • Download once. Wallpapers are cached locally and keep playing offline.
Built for macOS

Quiet by default

A live wallpaper is only good if you forget it's running. DynamicWalls gets out of the way of your battery, your fans and your work.

Pauses on battery

Unplug and the loop freezes on a still frame. Plug back in and it picks up where it left off — no setting to remember.

Near-zero CPU

Decoding runs on the media engine, so playback sits around 1% CPU. Full-screen apps and games stop it automatically.

Right-click in Finder

Any video on your Mac can become a wallpaper. Select it, choose Set as wallpaper, done.

Bring your own folder

Point DynamicWalls at a folder of your own renders or clips. It watches for new files and adds them to the library.

Per display, per Space

Three monitors, three moods. Each display and each Space keeps its own wallpaper and remembers it after a restart.

Playlists on a timer

Queue a set and let it rotate hourly, daily, or with sunrise and sunset. Shuffle if you'd rather be surprised.

What people actually say

The battery rule won me over. I unplug at a café and the wallpaper just freezes — no fan, no drain, nothing to switch off first.

Marco FeldMotion designer, Lisbon

I keep a folder of my own render loops. DynamicWalls watches it and shuffles a new one in every morning without me touching anything.

Sam Oduya3D artist

Four displays, four different wallpapers, and it remembers all of them after a reboot. That's the part other apps got wrong.

Verdant StudioDesign studio, Berlin

Activity Monitor says 0.9% while a 4K loop is playing. I checked twice because I didn't believe it.

Deniz AksoyiOS developer

The library is the reason I stayed. New loops land on Fridays and about half of them end up on my second screen.

Kaito MoriIllustrator

Set up in under a minute, and it never once got in the way of Mission Control. It just feels like part of macOS.
